Van Dyke Bible
The late G.M. Browne, former professor of Classics at Harvard, and of Classics and Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana, once told me that a good way for non Muslims to learn pointed Arabic was by reading the Van Dyke Arabic translation of the Bible. I have also found it useful to compare the Van Dyke translation to the Vulgate to learn which Arabic constructions correspond to the more familiar (at least to me!) Latin constructions.
